When will the new school year start?
Our school year runs from September to May and typically starts on the first Monday after Labor Day.
How many days do students attend each month?
Students are guaranteed 7 class days with each month's tuition.
What is your teacher/student ratio?
Our teacher to student ratio is 1:9.
How are students grouped?
Students are grouped by age level unless otherwise requested by a parent.
What classes will my student attend?
Students rotate through 5 classes with their age group. They will have a reading/writing class, a math class, a science class, an art/Bible class, and a gym/recess class.
What denomination is this program?
We are a non-denominational Christian-based program. Our Bible lessons are character related with an emphasis on examples from the Bible of good character and the Fruits of the Spirit.
How much does the program cost?
Enrichment only is $190 a month, and enrichment plus curriculum support is $215 a month. We do not have our own curriculum option (please see the curriculum recommendations on our website), but we do have a curriculum support option that includes custom videos for homeschool learning created by our teachers such as math and writing to help parents and students navigate tricky subjects and common pitfalls for students. That option also provides additional curriculum pages each week that directly correlate to what we are doing in class as well as access to teacher help with any concepts that are troublesome.
What days of the week will my student have class?
Parents have the option of M/W or T/Th from 9 to 2 with an add-on option of "extended play day" until 3:00. In addition to our two day programs, we offer Fun Fridays from 9 to 12 with arts/crafts, games, gym time, and recess.
What method of communication does the program use to keep parents informed and to allow parents to pay online?
We use Brightwheel, a user-friendly software program with a free app, to keep parents up to date with enrollment, newsletters, pictures, special events, and all other communications. Parents can also pay tuition through Brightwheel and access all account information to schedule auto-drafts, update information, check the calendar, or print tax forms.
With my student changing classes, how do I know which teacher to contact with questions?
Your student will have a homeroom classroom with an assigned homeroom teacher that will be introduced at the beginning of the year. All teachers are happy to assist you with any questions you might have, but the homeroom teacher or the director, Jennifer Windham, will be the person most commonly communicating with you. Please feel free to contact Jennifer directly anytime at (940) 368-6129.
Do you offer field trips?
We take 2 to 3 field trips a year as well as bringing in additional learning opportunities with speakers, demonstrations, and other on-site programs to enhance student engagement and learning.
Do you have class parties?
We celebrate with class parties for Halloween (fall themed), Christmas, Valentine's and Easter. Every year, we also throw a large water carnival in May to kick off the summer together.
